Changes to Exchange Control Limits

We advise our valued customers that the Reserve Bank of Fiji has revised the limits on VISA Debit and VISA Credit cards for offshore transactions as detailed below under the Exchange Control Regulations:

Exchange Control Limit Changes

VISA Credit Card Payment

 

Personal 

FJ$10,000 per month

Corporate

FJ$20,000 per card per month

Cash Withdrawal

FJ$1,500 per month

VISA Debit Card Usage

FJ$5,000  per month

Medical Expenses paid directly to the Medical Institution   

Up to FJ$100,000 per medical treatment

Medical Expenses paid directly to the patient/nominee   

Up to FJ$50,000 per treatment

Approval from the Reserve Bank of Fiji must be obtained for all offshore payments above these limits.

Applications (except Debit Card and Insurance Payments) can be lodged online at https://eservice.rbf.gov.fj/Public/FormB or we can lodge this on your behalf upon receiving the full set of documentation.

Please take note of these new limits as we are mandated to report any breach to the RBF and this may result in cards being blocked from any further purchasing/spending until RBF clearance/approval is obtained.
