Bank South Pacific (BSP)has congratulated the Frank Hilton Organization on surpassing a remarkable $1 million raised since the launch of its annual Wheelbarrow Race (Bara Battle) in 2016.
BSP has proudly supported the event from its very beginning and this year contributed $10,000, double its annual contribution. Over the years, BSP has combined financial support with strong staff participation, who proudly volunteered their time and energy to raise awareness and solidarity for children living with disabilities.
BSP Country Head, Mr. Haroon Ali, commended Frank Hilton Organization for its heroic efforts in improving the lives of children with disabilities. “The $1 million milestone is a testament to the Frank Hilton Organization’s vision and perseverance. BSP is proud to have been part of the Bara Battle and to contribute to this critical effort for a vulnerable group of children”.
Mr. Ali thanked the two teams made up of staff with friends and families of BSP.
“BSP’s consistent representation at this event demonstrates our commitment and I’m proud of our staff, especially our very first all women’s team, “BSP Marama Dina”. We stand alongside a wide community of participants, supporters, volunteers and corporates who truly bring the spirit of this event to life,” he added.
President of the Frank Hilton Organization, Ritesh Dass, acknowledged the contribution of sponsors like BSP and other corporates, community groups and individuals who have supported the cause over the years.
“This milestone could not have been reached without the generous contributions of organisations like BSP, alongside many others who continue to back the Wheelbarrow Race. These funds directly support children with disabilities through vital rehabilitation, education and care services,” Mr. Dass said.
As a socially responsible bank, BSP continues to invest in programs that deliver lasting impact across health, education, financial literacy and community development. This commitment reflects BSP’s purpose of Championing Prosperity for the South Pacific, a purpose that is powered by the support of its customers at all levels, from minors to corporates who bank with BSP.
