Colonial National Bank is delighted to introduce a new electronic based savings account for its customers.  EasySaver rewards serious savers with tiered base and bonus interest.
 
EasySaver rewards three levels of savings with interest. Base interest of
  • 0.50 percent per annum is awarded on balances up to $499.99,
  • 0.75 percent per annum is awarded on balances from $500 to $1,999.99, and
  • 1.25 percent per annum is awarded on balances greater than $2,000.
 
In addition to the base interest, customers earn bonus interest of 4.25 percent per annum on balances over $2,000 and if there are no withdrawals within the month. Bonus interest is payable on account balances up to $100,000.
 
Interest will be calculated on the minimum monthly balances and paid on a monthly basis.
 
EasySaver is designed to encourage and reward serious savers,” said the Head of Banking and Group Marketing, John Harper.
 
“With EasySaver you can earn up to 5.50 percent interest per annum. This is a very competitive interest rate and provides a great return whilst retaining flexibility to access funds whenever the need arises.”
 
“Our vision is to provide excellent customer service and EasySaver is an addition to our suite of savings products, providing choices to our customers,” Mr Harper said. “With all savings products, interest rates depend on market conditions are subject to review. However we are guaranteeing the bonus rate of 4.25 percent per annum will be retained until the end of October.”
 
Colonial National Bank’s savings products include MoneyZone for children up to the age of 18, TranXact for 18 to 25 years olds, EasyCard savings account and ClassicSaver for customers 55 years and over. The bank also provides term deposits with terms ranging from one month to 60 months with attractive interest rates.
