BSP approaches matters regarding the security of your personal information with utmost importance.
We will never ask you to verify, update or correct any of your banking or account information over emails.
Phishing is a cybercrime in which individuals are contacted by email, text message or a phone call by persons posing as a legitimate institution to lure them into providing sensitive or confidential data such as personally identifiable information, banking and credit card details and/or passwords.
The information is then used to access important bank and other accounts which can result in identity theft and financial loss.
From time to time you may receive phishing emails that claim to come from BSP. These emails provide links that purport to the BSP Internet Banking website but will actually take you to a fake website.
If you receive suspicious emails do the following:
- Verify the email address domain. The correct email domain for BSP Fiji is bsp.com.fj. Our PNG domain is bsp.com.pg.
- Do not click on the link provided in the email.
- Forward any suspicious emails to firstname.lastname@example.org and Hoax@bsp.com.pg.
- Delete the email from your Inbox.
If in the event that you have clicked on the link in the phishing email, please notify Customer Care on 132 888 (from within Fiji) or + 679 321 4300 (from outside of Fiji) IMMEDIATELY.
